This year the
Denver Days Fall Festival brings the surf, sand and shag from
the East Coast of the Carolinas to the western shore of Lake
Norman! Come kick off your shoes and dance to Classic Beach
Music with some of the top artists who have helped shaped this
Carolina phenomenon. Thanks to the great people at Hecht
Development commercial real estate firm of Denver, four of the
best bands in the business will be on-hand to make this the
biggest beach party of the year!
This year's
featured performers include "Mark Roberts and Breeze",
"The Craig Woolard Band", "The
Entertainers", and "The Embers".
Mark Roberts
and Breeze
Mark
Roberts and Breeze provide entertainment for events and clubs
throughout the East Coast. Their music includes Dance, Funk,
Rock n Roll, Motown, Beach Music, and even a little Country.
Through the years Mark has been featured on lead vocals in a
number of great bands including Spanky's Gang, Matrix, Alter
Ego, The Next, and Heart and Soul. The Wilmington, NC band Heart
and Soul were the winners of The Carolina Beach Music Award for
Best New Artist in 2000, and recorded songs such as The Way You
Love Me, Shaggin With Your Baby, and Dixie Moon. Mark was
nominated for Best Male Vocalist in 2003 and his collaboration
with other great musicians has contributed to a number of
Carolina Beach Music Awards including "Group of the
Year", "Song of the Year", "Male
Vocalist", and "Entertainer of the Year". Mark
was nominated for "Best Male Vocalist" in 2007 and was
the winner of "Smoothie of the Year" for 2005 and
2006. Compilation albums Mark has recorded on include "All
Aboard 4" in 2004 with "Dixie Moon",
"Totally Beach for Kids", a benefit CD for
"Victory Junction Gang" in 2005, "Soul Street
Café" with "Doesn't Get Any Better", and
"Now and Then" from Judy's House of Oldies with

The Craig
Woolard Band
Also
known as THE CWB, The Craig Woolard Band is a high energy show
band and from the moment they hit the stage, until the very last
song, they make you want to dance and have a good time. Their
first year out in 2005, they were honored as 'GROUP OF THE
YEAR", while Craig himself walked away with Entertainer of
the Year, Male Vocalist, Best Smoothie Song, and Song of the
Year.
Craig is a bona
fide member of Beach Music Royalty, having sung with one of the
foremost beach music bands, The Embers, for twenty-seven years. Through the years he has appeared on stage
with many famous groups such as The Four Tops, The Temptations,
the Beach Boys, Percy Sledge, Archie Bell, and Alabama. His
music has been heard from the Caribbean, to New York, to
California, Chicago, Atlantic City and as far away as Hawaii and
Europe. He worked with Petty Enterprises to produce a Beach
Music CD to benefit Victory Junction, a camp for seriously ill
children, as well as a TV show spotlighting Beach Music. His
list of awards and honors is long and impressive.
His #1 Beach
Music hit, "Love Don't Come No Stronger (Than Yours or
Mine), has become more than just another Beach hit. It is also
the theme song for the VJG Camp and appears on the CD produced
by Craig to raise money for the camp "TOTALLY BEACH FOR THE
KIDS".
The CWB's catalog
of music is diverse and includes beach music as well as great
dance music from the seventies and eighties. Their play list
includes classics such as "Brick House", "Play
that Funky Music White Boy", "Bad MammaJamma",
songs by Chicago, Tower of Power, Little Feat, Def Leoppard,
AC/DC, ZZ Top, Los Lonely Boys, and Jimmy Buffet. Craig's
rendition of "Georgia on My Mind" would make Ray
Charles proud and his version of "Hot Legs" or
"Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" would make
Rod Stewart smile. Other artists that Craig will remind you of
include Huey Lewis, James Brown, Bob Seger, Marvin Gaye, Otis
Redding, Al Green, Sam Cook and David Ruffin of the Temptations.

The
Entertainers
The
Entertainers having been charming audiences with their music
since they scored their first regional smash hit, "Living
for the Summer", in 1980. They continue to be at the
forefront of beach music and play the finest clubs along the
grand strand of Myrtle Beach. They're a busy band and are in
constant demand for events such as corporate conventions,
weddings and festivals from Washington, DC to Naples, Florida.
Their show stays true to their R&B and beach music roots and
at the same time satisfies the most diverse audiences with
selections from the latest hip hop to classic rock and roll. The
group's years of performing experience and recording prowess
culminated in the release of their album, entitled "The
Inside Story", which contains some great new tunes such as
"Thank Goodness She Cheated" as well as classic beach
and soul hits like "Me & Mrs Jones",
"Stubborn Kind of Fellow" and "Never Found A

The Embers
Rhythm
and Blues became the foundation and essence of SOUL music and
the Motown sound, but in North Carolina, South Carolina,
Virginia, Georgia, Florida and Alabama, the name that applies is
"Beach Music." If you were to make a short list of the
royalty of beach music The Embers would be at the top of it,
they are known as North Carolina's Official "Ambassadors of
Beach Music". For decades they have been playing a unique
mix of rhythm & blues and heart & soul that defines
beach music.
To say "The
Embers play Beach Music" is an understatement. After
eighteen albums and numerous single releases THE EMBERS are one
of the most popular bands, as well as one of the most active
groups in the country. They boast an average of three-hundred
dates per year, ranging from Toronto to Florida and westward to
California and Hawaii. Over the years they've played for
presidents and princes, students and bankers, at the beach and
in the city, on record and in concert.
A musical marvel,
the EMBERS have been inducted into the South Carolina Rhythm
& Blues Hall of Fame and were named North Carolina's
Official Musical Ambassadors. They've opened for the Rolling
Stones, done commercials for Budweiser and Pepsi, performed for
a video commercial for the Sands Hotel in Atlantic City, created
the soundtrack for endless summers. played the Olympics and
performed at President Clinton's inauguration.
The group has
received numerous awards through the years including; Most
Charted Songs, Entertainer of the Year, Group of the Year, Blues
Song of the Year; and the list goes on.
Their albums have
received international critical acclaim. Their music evokes the
best of memories and emotions for anyone who has been touched by
