For the 2008 Denver Days Fall Festival,
Q: How much
does it cost?
A: There
is no admission charge per person; however, parking is $10 per
vehicle. A portion of the parking proceeds goes to the East
Lincoln High School Sports Boosters. Thanks to our premier
sponsor Hecht Realty, there is no charge for the great concert
line up including The Fantastic Shakers on Friday evening, and
the Atlanta Rhythm Section and Little Texas on Saturday.
Q: How can I
pay?
A: Just
bring plain old cash or you can stop by our festival ATM
provided by Wachovia Bank! You can buy food with
cash directly from any of the food vendors, (no tokens or
coupons required!). Available in our vendor area are a wide
variety of items such as leather goods, jewelry, t-shirts,
pottery, original artwork and more. Some vendors do accept
credit cards but you need to ask as this varies among vendors.
Q: Will there
be Food?
A: YES,
Lots and lots of food! Everything from Italian sausage to
deep-fried Oreo cookies, our food vendors will have a variety of
foods including BBQ, ribs, tenderloin sandwiches, Cajun foods,
cheeseburgers, salads and more!. Check out the food vendors list on the Vendors
Page.
Q: Will there
be a Beer Garden again?
A: YES,
We're working to improve the beer garden this year by enlarging
it and locating it so that guests can view and enjoy all the
performances on the main stage without obstructions. We're also
arranging to have food available from within the beer garden and
this year will feature Miller Lite, Yuengling, and Blue Moon
beers from United Beverages in Hickory. All beers are cash
only. Valid ID is required. No "bring your own
beverages" or outside coolers please. All Beer Garden
patrons must remain inside the fenced area, this is a county
regulation for safety and to ensure the family atmosphere of the
festival. Thanks!
Q: Will there
be Amusement Rides and will they be Awesome?
A: YES,
Absolutely and we've worked hard to keep them affordable like last year.
We've arranged to have a wide variety of rides to
suit young and old alike so everyone will enjoy the fun. Check out pictures and descriptions of
last years rides on the Rides Page.
Q: Will
Traffic to the festival be bad?
A: Traffic
to the festival is expected to be heavy but there will be more
volunteers and police this year to help keep traffic moving smoothly. We're improving
the parking areas by adding more space and posting
location signs so that you can more easily find your vehicle.
Q: Can I bring
my own food or drinks in to the Festival?
A: No,
sorry no food or coolers are allowed.
Q: Are pets
allowed?
A: No, for
safety and courtesy to other guests NO PETS are allowed into the
festival. Please respect this rule and do not bring animals
of any kind with you to the festival.
Q: Can I bring
in a lawn chair for the concerts?
A: Yes,
lawn chairs and blankets are allowed for the concerts.
Q: Is there
Handicap parking available?
A: Yes,
there will be some handicap parking available. If you need
handicap parking let the parking attendants know as you enter
the festival grounds and they will direct you to the parking
area. You must have a handicap parking tag to park in the
handicap parking area. A large crowd is expected this year so we
recommend that if you require handicap parking that you come
early to be sure to get a parking place. If all handicap parking
spaces are filled there will be special guest services personnel available
with golf carts to pick-up and transport handicapped guests.
Just ask the parking attendant
when you enter the festival parking area and they will arrange
to have a guest services person help you. Keep in mind that the festival is held in an open
farm field that is very rough and uneven. Navigating the
festival ground with a wheel chair can be quite difficult so
please consider this when making your plans and be very careful.
Q: Is there a
map of the festival so I can see where things are?
A: Yes,
Just Click HERE for a map of the
2008 festival
grounds.
Q: What
happens to the money from the festival?
A: Denver
Days, Inc. is a non-profit organization comprised of local
business people and private citizens. The goal of the
organization is to raise funds for recreational facilities for
the local community. The hope is to have a local park in the
future where community events like Denver Days can be held. All
the proceeds are held in an account to be given back to the East
Lincoln community in the form of recreational facilities. To
learn more about the Denver Days Festival check out the "About
Denver Days" page of this web site. If
