For the 2009 Denver Days Fall Festival,
Q: How much
does it cost?
A: There
is no admission charge per person; however, parking is $10 per
vehicle ($5 on Wednesday & Thursday). A portion of the parking proceeds goes to the East
Lincoln High School Sports Boosters. Thanks to our premier
sponsor Hecht Development, there is no charge for the great
concerts. On Wednesday and Thursday evening the amusement
rides are offering a special, you can ride all the rides all
evening for $20 (there is a $2 Off coupon that is being
distributed through the local schools and it is also included in
some festival advertisements as well as for download
here! The
coupon brings the price down to $18). On Friday and Saturday the
rides require tickets. Ticket prices are $1 per ticket or 24
tickets for $20. Most rides require between 3 and 6 tickets.
Q: How can I
pay?
A: You
will need cash for parking at the festival and for most vendors
at the festival. There will be an ATM at the festival provided by
B2E Mobile,
the transaction fee charged by the ATM is $3.95. Our vendor area
offers a wide
variety of items such as leather goods, jewelry, t-shirts,
pottery, original artwork and more. Some vendors do accept
credit cards but you need to ask as this varies among vendors.
Q: What if it
Rains?
A: In the
event of rain or dangerous weather conditions we will post
cancellation and reschedule information on the home page of the
DenverDays.com web site. The free concerts will be held as
scheduled on both Friday and Saturday but they will be moved
indoors to the East Lincoln Community Center/Gym located just a
short distance west of the festival grounds on Optimist Club
Road. The vendors, local performers, and other festival
activities will be rescheduled to the following
Saturday, October 3rd.
Q: Will there
be Food?
A: YES,
Lots and lots of food! Our food vendors will offer a wide variety of
foods! Everything from turkey legs and Italian sausage to ice
cream. Check out the food vendors list on the Vendors
Page.
Q: Will there
be a Beer Garden again?
A: YES,
The beer garden is located so that guests can view and enjoy all the
performances on the main stage without obstructions. This year will feature Miller Lite, Yuengling, and Blue Moon
beers from United Beverages in Hickory as well as wine from the
Woodmill Winery. All beer and wine is cash
only. Valid ID is required. No "bring your own
beverages" or outside coolers please. All Beer Garden
patrons must remain inside the fenced area, this is a county
regulation for safety and to ensure the family atmosphere of the
festival. Thanks!
Q: Will there
be Amusement Rides and will they be Awesome?
A: YES! There will be
rides for all ages ranging from old time favorites like the
Carousel to exciting new rides like the
"Drop Zone" and the "Cliff Hanger". There
will be rides for the young set and rides for the thrill seekers
as well. The 2009 Denver Days Fall Festival Midway will have
something to offer for everyone! check out pictures and descriptions of some of our past rides on the Rides Page.
Q: Will
Traffic to the festival be bad?
A: Traffic
to the festival is expected to be heavy but there will be more
volunteers and police this year to help keep traffic moving smoothly. We're improving
the parking areas by adding more space and posting
location signs so that you can more easily find your vehicle.
Q: Can I bring
my own food or drinks in to the Festival?
A: No,
sorry no food or coolers are allowed.
Q: Are pets
allowed?
A: No, for
safety and courtesy to other guests NO PETS are allowed into the
festival. Please respect this rule and do not bring animals
of any kind with you to the festival.
Q: Can I bring
in a lawn chair for the concerts?
A: Yes,
lawn chairs and blankets are allowed for the concerts.
Q: Is there
Handicap parking available?
A: Yes,
there will be some handicap parking available. If you need
handicap parking let the parking attendants know as you enter
the festival grounds and they will direct you to the parking
area. You must have a handicap parking tag to park in the
handicap parking area. A large crowd is expected this year so we
recommend that if you require handicap parking that you come
early to be sure to get a parking place. Keep in mind that the festival is held in an open
farm field that is very rough and uneven. Navigating the
festival ground with a wheel chair can be quite difficult so
please consider this when making your plans and be very careful.
Q: Is there a
map of the festival so I can see where things are?
A: Yes,
Just Click HERE for a map of
last year's 2008 festival
grounds. This year's 2009 festival is being completely
redesigned so check back here for a peek at this year's new
layout coming soon!
Q: What
happens to the money from the festival?
A: Denver
Days, Inc. is a non-profit organization comprised of local
business people and private citizens. The goal of the
organization is to raise funds for recreational facilities for
the local community. The hope is to have a local park in the
future where community events like Denver Days can be held. All
the proceeds are held in an account to be given back to the East
Lincoln community in the form of recreational facilities. To
learn more about the Denver Days Festival check out the "About
Denver Days" page of this web site. If
